Each age, each day
The need to recreate
Though we never brought ourselves in
But were created
For what purpose many answers
Yet created
The tree, the rock
Shaped and formed by wind and rain
Still a tree and rock created
Humility is the beginning

Open spaces where the
Enemy hides
Jet fighters overhead
Leading into a mall
Where the enemy moves into
The produce section of a supermarket
Or the racks of appliances at a hardware store
The enemy hides in the sound of children
Studying and playing
Your weapon is just an object
Inert when left alone
But trusty when you sense an enemy
That your mind can find anywhere
